Higher Education

The Clink Prison Museum prides itself in offering groups a truly unique, fun, historical and educational visit.
Visitors will be challenged by the history along with the horrific true stories contained within the museum dating from the 12th century. Support is offered to all groups both young and old through the optional use of our tour guide team. As part of our educational programme your visit will include an introduction to the site along with a visit incorporating hands-on devices, audio and visual presentations. With the use of our tour guides the visit would also include comprehensive verbal presentation and explanation to your students along with further demonstrations and greater educational insight to the subject.

Relevance to History

Students studying social studies, history, politics, religion and American history would find a visit to The Clink Prison directly relevant to their studies. Whilst visiting The Clink Prison Museum students will learn of its involvement in many major events including the Mayflower, Babington Plot, the publishing of the first authorised English Bible and many more.
