| Welcome to the Clink Prison Museum on the net.
The real museum is located in Clink Street near London Bridge. It shows
reconstructions of cell interiors and contains a hands-on display of original and reproduction
restraining and torturing devices.
The prison known as "The Clink" from the 15th century was owned by successive Bishops of Winchester and from the 12th century until its destruction in 1780, its inmates have ranged from priests to prostitutes. The Clink Prison is also available for private hire, corporate hospitality and special events. The museum has a well-equipped fully licensed, medieval themed banquetting hall for parties and events of all kinds. |
You are prisoner number
since the 27th February 1998.
